Gary Magan & Co was presenting Alef Vinal Company, Ukraine, with Helsinki vodka at the only dedicated UK-staged Vodka Challenge event, conducted by Drinks International magazine for global vodka brands. It is the world's favourite drinks magazine for the trade, with a well established, highly respected reputation for vodka coverage. The results of the DI Vodka challenge 2007 were announced at the Vodka Summit, Chinawhite nightclub, London, on 23 January 2007. It's the only trade event that has been created to help manufacturers make the most from the growing vodka market.

About Obolon Brewery

By Olympics 1980 Soviet government set a task to build such a brewery, that would produce beer meeting European standards. Czech specialists, who are known to be world famous masters of brewing, were invited as consultants. It was them who chose the place for the new brewery.... >>Read More>>

Did you Know?

Beer contains ca. 40 mineral compounds which provide us with energy. The content of vitamins is high: 1 liter of beer provides ca. 200 mg of different vitamins, like B6 (35% the daily dose), B2 (20%), niacin (65 %) as well as A, D, E and H vitamins. The same is true for mineral compounds in beer: 1 liter of beer covers our daily requirement for: magnesium (50%), phosphor (40%) and calcium (20%).

Lager Beer

Obolon Lager. Lager type beer prepared on classic technology. It has a pleasant malt taste and moderate heady bitter flavour. Thick and still foam gives the beer special freshness. Alc. 5.2% Vol

Obolon Premium. One of the most popular beer brands produced by Obolon. Made of light malt, rice, artesian water and fragrant hop. Alc. 5.2% Vol

Obolon Magnat. A premium lager, classically brewed to the original recipe. Before serving, Magnat has to be chilled till the word "Magnat" becomes visible on the back label. Alc. 5.3% Vol

Light Lagers

Obolon Light. Light lager type beer with a nice malty taste and a slight well-matched bitterness. This beer is a perfect addition to your favorite dish. It is the most popular beer brand among all produced by Obolon. Alc. 4.5% Vol

Obolon Cathedral. Light lager type beer made from selected hops, malt, fermenting yeast and pure spring water. Mealie meal is also used for the preparation of "Soborne" (translated as "Cathedral") bringing special taste and aroma to the beer. Alc. 4.7% Vol

Dark Beer

Obolon Deep Velvet. A high quality dark beer, is classically brewed to the original recipe from selected hops, malt, fermenting yeast and pure spring water. Special brewing technology brings this beer dense, smooth, deep velvet texture with rich malt and caramel flavour. Alc. 5.3% Vol

Obolon Porter. A high quality strong dark beer, is classically brewed to the original recipe from selected hops, malt, fermenting yeast and pure spring water. It is combination of soft caramel malt spiced with high quality hops, bringing this beer unique malting aroma and bitterness. Alc. 7.0% Vol

Unfiltered Beer

Obolon Wheat Beer. A high quality, full-strength non-filtered wheat beer, created for special occasions, a day off beer. Brewed to the traditional recipe from selected sorts of wheat malt, barley malt, top fermenting yeast and pure spring water. Light and cloudy in appearance, the cloudiness is due to yeast cells remaining in the beer, following secondary fermentation in a bottle. The beer is fruity fragrant and spicy, sweet and dry at the same time. Alc. 5.0% Vol
